The Mandalay air bed from US Water is approximately eleven and one-half inches thick, and like the Palms, Bellagio, and Caesars, includes a dual zipper system. These four models from US Water (Palms, Bellagio, Mandalay, and Caesars) all use the same cover, rails, chambers, etc., and all have the same dual zipper system. The difference is in what's inside. The Mandalay includes a 2 inch layer of latex in the pillowtop. Since the 1930's, latex has proven to be an extremely comfortable and extremely durable sleep material. Because it is naturally anti-microbial, it is very popular with allergy sufferers. While the latex craze has only recently caught on in the United States, latex has long been a staple of European sleepers. Many Americans who travel overseas come back to the states searching for a latex mattress to call their own after experiencing their best sleep ever on latex mattreses in Europe. The dual zipper system allows the user to place the latex comfort any where in the mattress they desire, either in the pillowtop in order to maximize the plushness from the latex, or in the air chamber compartment for outstanding support. With the Mandalay, you can enjoy all the benefits of latex plus the benefits of air sleep. And of course, the dual zipper system means you can change the feel of your Mandalay at any time by changing the order of the layers or exchanging the pillow top material.
The European Box Pillow Top of the Mandalay Air mattress uses the same White Belgian Damask ticking as all the other U.S. Water air beds, and the same quality tack and jump stitching. The cover is zippered on four sides for easy access, and can be removed to air out. Constructed with the same quality components as all US Water air bed mattresses, including the same air chambers, foam rails, and air mattress pumps. The cover fabric is quilted to High Resilient foam and Bioguard, an anti-microbial fiber that eliminates bacteria, fungi, mildew, and mold, insuring your cover will be free from unhealthy elements commonly found in mattresses over time. Unlike many brands, all of the U.S.Water covers are lined with a vinyl moisture guard, protecting the air mattress from rare but occasional condensation.

All US Water air beds come with vulcanized rubber air chambers. Designed for maximum airflow in all directions, the air chambers create the proper spinal alignment required for pain free sleep. The adjustable bed design also allows sleeping in the center of the dual models without the need of a foam wedge and with no sensation of rolling to either the middle or the edge. By sealing the web reinforced air hose with flexible rubber at the time of chamber manufacturing, the entire assembly becomes a single unit with no external connections eliminating the concern of air loss. The adjustable bed chambers are made from a durable 25 Mil rubber and are designed to provide support for years to come.
The Super Quiet Digital Control System uses 50 scientifically accurate comfort settings versus the competitor's 20 or fewer arbitrary settings. Each adjustable bed uses vibration inflators rather than our competitor's noisy electric blowers or unefficient and under powered pneumatic pumps.

The foam sling rail systems are wrapped in a non-woven fabric cover. This system eliminates sagging, bulging and separation of the air chambers.
