Ultra Bear

The Ultra Bear by BearBeds is a 10 inch thick pillowtop air mattress that uses a Burlington Damask ticking material with a traditional stitching pattern. The pillowtop, which is filled with DuPont Holofil and foam, can be removed for easy airing or dry cleaning. The Ultra Bear has the same 7 inch deep, 24 mil PVC vinyl air chambers found in the Teddy Bear model, in addition to a Foam Vapor Barrier not found in the Teddy Bear. The Foam Vapor Barrier is a piece of convoluted polyurethane foam encased in a vinyl wrapping that helps keep mold and mildew from building up on the air chamber, which is especially helpful if you live in a humid climate. The Foam Vapor Barrier also adds and extra layer of comfort. If you order the optional Visco Elastic Memory Foam with the Ultra Bear, the standard polyurethane foam is removed from the Foam Vapor Barrier and replaced with 2 inches of 4lb. Visco Elastic Memory Foam.

Because the Ultra Bear has two powerful air blowers (pumps use pistons to move air, blowers use fans) that are situated internally in cut-outs in the side foam rails and connect direclty to the air chambers without hoses, it is ideal for use in situations where you may not have room for an external pump, such as in an RV.
